Ralph is the founding pastor of Harvest Church. He is a graduate of Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary. He has a passion for helping people find life at its best, which he teaches is found in knowing and following Christ. Ralph loves to see people experience Jesus firsthand, grow in love for God and others, and become strong disciples. Ralph has been married to Rhonda over 35 years and they have three sons, Daniel, Joel (Olivia), and Paul (Riley).
Keith has served in almost all capacities at Harvest. In addition to his responsibilities as Executive Pastor, he oversees all of our small groups and group leaders. He desires to see each person at Harvest connected in community through small groups where the depth of their personal relationship with God and their capacity to influence others for Christ can be strengthened. Keith and his wife Cheryl have three children, Caleb (Mel), Anna, and Ashleigh.
Roy oversees visitation (first-time guests, hospitals, inactive), pastoral counseling, weddings, funerals, and other needs of the congregation. He retired from a notably successful military career after over 22 years of service when he answered God’s call into pastoral ministry. He first worked as a youth minister as he earned his master’s degree from Candler Seminary. Roy has pastored several churches and has done post-Master’s work in family counseling. He and his wife Salli have two grown daughters and five grandchildren.
Rusty has served under the leadership of several gifted worship leaders for over twenty years. He received a Bachelor of Music from Berklee in Boston, Massachusetts. His prayer is for Harvest Church to know the joy that comes in the presence of the Lord and that our hearts will overflow with thanksgiving for His faithful love. Rusty and Heather came to Harvest in the summer of 2014. Their precious son John Henry was born in January of 2019.
Joel is the Youth Pastor for students in 7th-12th grade. He is a 2013 Asbury University graduate, and is also working on finishing his master’s of divinity and masters in biblical studies degree from Asbury Theological Seminary with. Joel has grown up here at Harvest and really got serious about his relationship with God while being part of the youth group. He is passionate about youth ministry and has a heart to serve the Lord. Joel married Olivia in 2016, and they serve the youth group together. They have a sweet baby boy, Malachi.
Charlene is the Children’s Ministry Director for newborns - 6th grade. She is originally from Florida and moved to the area 5 years ago. Before taking on the role as the Director, she served as the Assistant to the Children’s Ministry Director at Harvest. Charlene has always had a heart for children and serving the Lord. She is married to Chris and they have one beautiful daughter, Alyson. Charlene is excited to be a part of the Harvest family and is passionate to help children meet Jesus and grow in the Word.
Sandy oversees all of our ministry teams and outreach opportunities. She studied Liberal Arts at Auburn University Montgomery. At the age of 19, she was called to full-time Christian ministry and has served in many leadership roles. Sandy is passionate about helping everyone find fulfillment using their God-given abilities in service and ministry. Sandy and her husband Scott have three grown children, Samuel, Samantha (Chris) and Steven.
David has served the church as a lay worship leader, youth worker, jail minister, Rescue Mission minister, deacon, and a small group leader. He has a Master’s degree in Theology and currently leads a men’s Discipleship/Accountability Group. He also serves on the Harvest Missions Committee and assists Pastor Roy in Congregational Care. He and his wife Sharon have two sons, two biological grandchildren, and many other children that love and call them grandma and grandpa.
Michael (Schmitty) Schmitz oversees Freedom Groups, EPIC Preteen Ministry and Young Adults. Harvest has always been a part of his DNA, being a member of its youth group and young adult ministry, as well as being heavily involved in children’s ministry. He has a degree in theology from Liberty College of Bible Studies and is currently working on his Master’s degree. Schmitty and his wife, Ariail, moved back to Dothan in the summer of 2018 and found a home in Harvest and its staff.
Wes oversees the production of all Harvest services and major events. He and his team of volunteers run sound, lighting, cameras, and mediate the LiveStream services. In addition to production, he also leads and directs the youth worship team. Wes graduated from Troy University in 2011 with a degree in Music Industry and has a passion for music, leading worship, superheros, and the taste of Mellow Yellow. He came to Harvest in 2012 when he married his wife, Andi. They have two children, Oliver and Amelia.
